Toronto Kosher Catering Event At Beth Tzedec Congregation
On Thursday, February 23rd, Applause catered for the “Beth Tzedec Men’s Scotch Club Night.” The evening offered exceptional food, refreshing scotch and engaging conversation at 1700 Bathurst Street in Toronto, inside Beth Tzedec Congregation. All proceeds support the Men’s Club programming initiatives. On hand was Toronto icon – Jack Newman, an actor and writer who was thrilled to be part of the festivities.
Applause provided a delicious assortment of kosher food, which included:
1st Course Starter
Potato and Leek Soup – field green salad, served with orange whiskey vinaigrette
2nd Course Options
Stuffed Maple Oat and Barley Chicken Supreme – natural jus
Poached Atlantic Salmon – dill sauce
Roasted Red Pepper – stuffed with red & white quinoa, tofu, butternut squash, green onions and tomato sauce

– Kosher Wedding Catering At Beth Tzedec Congregation –
On Sunday, January 29th, Applause catered a wedding for over 250 guests at Beth Tzedec on 1700 Bathurst Street. Applause is proud to be the exclusive caterer at Beth Tzedec Congregation, serving Toronto and the GTA with our premier kosher catering service. We have the ability to customize any request with the utmost attention to detail – from kosher wedding catering, anniversaries, bar/bat mitzvahs and everything in between. It is why we are one of Toronto’s premier kosher caterers.
At 4:00 PM, 75 groomsmen took part in a Chassan Tish. We provided a Crudite Display – chopped liver with crispy onions, a cascading display of chips & dip (sweet potato, Yukon gold, taro root and plantain) with (hummus, red pepper tapenade, and tomato salsa). We also served a Schmaltz Herring with lemon wedges, bowls of cocktail rye brown bread and tam tam crackers.
50 women also took part in a Kabbalat Panim in the lobby. Our dedicated wait-staff set-up a refreshing assortment of snacks which included: carrot sticks, celery, peppers, cherry tomatoes and cucumbers with herb sour cream spinach dip. At around 5:00 PM, Applause set-up two interactive stations: The Soft Shell Taco Station and the Steam Bun Station.

We then began to roll out a creative selection of kosher hors d’oeuvres, as our Chefs interacted with the guests. Below, are a few that we served throughout the evening:

As the dinner hour approached, Applause geared up for what would be a very fast-paced, yet memorable service for the bride, the groom and their family and friends.
The food captured the beauty of the wedding, as we presented a flavourful 3-course dinner:
1st Course – Power Salad
Shiitake mushrooms, avocado slices, ruby red & golden beets, green beans, chick peas, candied pumpkin seeds with pommery shallot vinaigrette.
Our Power Salad is a refreshing choice to any kosher wedding meal, combining healthy vegetables with a flavourful pommery shallot vinaigrette. With the speeches commencing throughout the 1st course, the kitchen team began to plate the 2nd course.
2nd Course – Marinated Dijon Chicken
Spinach, wild & dry mushrooms garnished with black sesame seeds & dijon mustard sauce. It was accompanied by rosti potatoes, butternut squash & broccoli soufflé with snow peas and red pepper.
We also served a vegetarian option – Eggplant Parmesan Tower Rounds, combining – layers of breaded eggplant, homemade tomato basil, sauce & tofutti cheese, snow peas and red pepper.
Finally, our fish option – Herb Almond Encrusted Halibut brought together – white wine sauce, spinach garnished amaranth sprouts, rosti potatoes, butternut squash/broccoli souffle, snow peas and red pepper.

At 10:00 PM, we served over 5 different types of desserts – from Hand-Crafted Assorted Macaroons, to Lemon Curd Tarts and Decadent Brownie Lollipops.

Applause Catering provides kosher catering in Toronto for both social and corporate clients, with 30+ years of combined kosher catering experience. On Sunday, November 13th, we catered an assortment of premier hors d’oeuvres for Ve’ahavta’s Starry Night Gala, followed by a delicious 3-course kosher dinner for one of our biggest events of the year. The event took place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (222 Bremner Blvd.) at the north side on the lower level of the constitutional hall.
The rentals, food and staff arrived promptly at 3:00 PM, with the cocktail reception beginning at 6:00 PM for over 500 guests. Guests were treated to an appetizing assortment of hors d’oeuvres, which included our “Ahi Tuna Taco Presented on Lime Wheels”, “Butternut Squash & Bartlett Pear Soup” and our “Pulled Beef Brisket on a Fresh Brioche”

The dinner and evening program began at 7:00 PM, as guests celebrated Ve’ahavta’s 20th anniversary in humanitarian achievements. Guests listened in on impactful live stories illustrating Ve’ahavta’s transformative work as told by program participants. An inspirational speech by Avrum Rosenweig, Ve’ahavta’s CEO and Founder followed, as we prepped an unforgettable 3 course kosher dinner meal.

On Thursday, June 30th 2016, Kaylie & Ryan became newly weds at The Grand Luxe Event Venue on 3125 Bayview Avenue (Bayview and Finch.) Family and friends were thrilled to celebrate their special ceremony on a gorgeous summer day, filled with loving memories that will be remembered throughout their entire life together.
The evening began in the main hall at 6:15 PM, where the ceremony took place in front of approximately 360 guests. From 6:45 PM to 8:00 PM, Applause Catering offered guests refreshing beverages, unique passed hors d’oeuvres and interactive food stations. The food presented a unique kosher catering twist, with stations such as “The COR-ean Station” and “The Jew-Maican Station” receiving rave reviews.

At 8:00 PM, family and friends of the bride and groom made their way to “The Ballroom”, where they were seated at 60” round tables on chic ice chiavari ballroom chairs.
The table décor was beautifully decorated by DT Floral & Décor, with linen and napkins provided by Around The Table. At around 8:15 PM, Kaylie, Ryan and their close family and friends participated in the always-exciting Mitzvah dances, concluding with the “Krenzel.” The parents of the bride and groom were elevated on chairs in the middle of the dance floor during this exhilarating Jewish wedding ritual. The Universal Boogie Band provided live entertainment, playing Superior Funk, Soul, Disco, Motown and relentless Rock and Pop.

On Thursday, July 28th 2016, Applause Catering had the distinct pleasure of catering a formal dinner and passed hors d’oeuvres at Rosehill Venue for Canadian Friends of Tel Aviv University. Kevin Pillar of the Toronto Blue Jays was on hand, who sat down with VIP guests for an intimate and interactive conversation over a delicious three-course kosher meal between 6:00 – 7:30 PM. Also on hand was Sportsnet 590 Host & Radio Broadcaster Mike Wilner, who hosted the Q&A session with Kevin Pillar at 8:30 PM.

Kevin Pillar conversed with guests throughout the dinner hour about his exciting baseball career, advice for aspiring baseball players and his grandfather’s legacy. Applause is proud to be front and centre of the Toronto kosher catering scene, showing time and time again why we are one of the best kosher caterers in Toronto.
Both Kevin & Amanda Pillar were highly impressed at the creativity of our kosher catering throughout the meal, as well as the prompt service by a staffing company – AE Hospitality.

At 8:30 PM, Mike Wilner hosted a Q&A session with Kevin Pillar on a variety of baseball-related topics that included the current state of the Blue Jays franchise, what it takes to be a baseball player, life as a professional baseball athlete and how it feels to fly in the outfield.

This year’s Action Party celebrated a 10-year milestone for CJPAC, fostering relationships between Canadians and political parties in Canada. Canadians from various political backgrounds are encouraged to engage themselves with CJPAC’s informative programs to become more politically engaged. #TOAction2016 brought together more than 1,300 hungry guests, as they exchanged opinions on Canada’s political landscape, while indulging in our premier kosher cuisine.

Applause is proud to have catered the spectacular Toronto kosher catering event for CJPAC on March 26th 2015. With over 1,400 people in attendance, this event lit up the Sound Academy with excitement, from live music, elegant food and engaging conversations among all of the guests.
Our dedicated team at Applause Catering prepared dish after dish of mouth-watering hors d’oeuvres, entrees and desserts. The CJPAC Action Party also included a VIP section, where guests were presented with “Homemade Tater Waffles with a Slow Cooked Beef Brisket” as well as our delicious “Smoked Meat and Onion Confit Piroshki” Our team of dedicated chefs and cooks have catered several delicious Toronto kosher catering functions throughout the years and were certainly up to the task again.
Our dedicated wait-staff were also kept on their feet, continuously restocking their plates at a record pace for all of the guests to enjoy.

Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, Andrew Richard Designs is truly a unique venue to host your next kosher catering event. The ARD building offers two event spaces, The Atrium and The Loft. The areas can be rented together or separately, making it the perfect place to host any social or corporate event.
The Atrium can accommodate up to 1,000 guests with its 15 ft. ceilings, a restored skylight, and floor to ceiling windows. The Loft, the second beautiful space, is perfect for a more intimate gathering (if 350 guests counts as intimate!). With 11 ft. ceilings, exposed brick, and an outdoor patio, The Loft is a gorgeous backdrop for any spring/summer events.
